This website is operated by Upper North Wark Fishing. In this privacy and cookie policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Upper North Wark Fishing.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We are the data controller for the personal information you give us through this website, and we handle it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. 1. What information do we collect?

We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:

2. the details of your booking, such as your dates, number of rods, any extras and any notes you add, and records of your payments;
3. the details of any enquiry you send us through our website, by email or by phone;
4. any other information that you choose to send to us; and
5. basic information about visits to this website, such as the pages viewed, the website that referred you and your browser type. This is counted without cookies and does not identify you.

2. Using your personal information

We use your personal information to:

1. manage your booking, send you your booking confirmation and invoice, and collect payment from you, because we need to in order to provide your fishing;
2. reply to your enquiries and deal with any complaints, because it is in our legitimate interests to do so;
3. keep accounting records, because the law requires us to;
4. send you news about our fishing, but only where you have agreed to this. You can tell us at any time that you no longer want it; and
5. run and improve this website, because it is in our legitimate interests to do so.

We do not sell your personal information, and we will not give it to any third party for their own marketing.

3. Disclosures

We may share your information with our employees, ghillies, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. Our website, enquiry form and booking system are provided by Lumara Digital and hosted by Cloudflare. They process your information only on our instructions.

In addition, we may disclose your personal information:

1. to the extent that we are required to do so by law;
2. in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings;
3. in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; and
4. to the purchaser (or prospective purchaser) of any business or asset that we are (or are contemplating) selling.

Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties.

4. How long we keep it

We keep booking records for six years after your booking, for our accounts. We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for up to 12 months.

5. Security of your personal information

We will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. Data sent over the internet can never be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us over the internet.

6. Your rights

You can ask us, free of charge:

• for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• to correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
• to delete your information, where we no longer need to keep it;
• to stop or limit how we use it, including for marketing; and
• to withdraw your agreement to hearing from us at any time.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
